Hi everyone

I’m Christopher, and I’m a 21-year-old autistic adult from Scotland.

I’ve joined because I’m looking for a place where I can talk to people who understand what it’s like to live with autism. Alongside that, I also deal with chronic pain, and it can sometimes feel quite isolating. I’m hoping to meet people who understand those experiences and who are open to sharing their own.

The past few years have been incredibly difficult. I’ve been through a lot of grief and trauma, and while I have somewhere I can talk specifically about bereavement, I wanted to find a community where I could also talk about autism, chronic pain, burnout, everyday struggles, and hopefully some of the positives too.

Writing has become one of the ways I process my thoughts and emotions. I write journals, poems, and songs, so you may see me sharing some of those if it feels appropriate.

I’m looking forward to getting to know people here, reading about your experiences, and hopefully supporting others as well.

Thanks for reading.

  • Hello Christopher,

I hope you have a great time here. I am sure there will be people who have had similar experiences to you.  I have found it is worth reading people's messages if only to find the similarities or even  the dissimilarities. I find it both comforting and meaningful too.
