Hi everyone!
I’m excited to join the community.
I’m 46, a parent, and currently obsessed with tie-dyeing and crime shows. I’ve just picked up some new tie-dye equipment and am looking to dive back into creating myself some new designs—I’d love to hear what everyone else is working on lately!
I’m also a big astrology nerd and have a telescope that has been living in the garage. I’ve tried to use it twice now, and while I can handle the technical setup during the day, once night falls, the reality of the situation hits: the cold, the noise, and the light pollution all pile on at once. It’s been so overwhelming that I’ve ended up stressed and packing it back away both times. I haven't sold it because I really want to use it, but I’m clearly struggling with the environment. If any of you have tips on how to actually manage the "nighttime" side of astronomy without it turning into a sensory nightmare, I’d love to hear your advice.
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
