Diagnosed at 71

Not quite a record, my assessor told me the oldest person she had assessed was 80. 

I'm female, have managed a career ( with difficulty ), a 47 year monogamous relationship with a non autistic male (again with difficulty) and two sons. You've guessed, again with.......

So how does this differ from neurotypicals that I see following similar life stories, some with even more problems than I've had. I know this because they talk or write about it.

Of the very few people I have shared my diagnosis with, I have been met with understanding, scepticism and being asked what treatment I am receiving for my newly diagnosed illness.

Oh dear.

And...I find myself questioning myself.
