Hello

Hello, I was diagnosed last year after going through a two and a half year process. It wasn’t a surprise to me but it’s made me think about do many things I didn’t realise where signs of autism. I’m late diagnosed in my fifties. Does anyone else find labelling how they feel difficult? Also when people aren’t with me I don’t really miss them and I always thought this made me , I don’t know, emotionally stunted or lacking.

  • Hi Beepop,

Yeah alexythymia is quite common with autism, it can be really hard to label emotions and not really know what the sensations are?

I was wondering if that's why it's easier to drift apart people when you don't see them?

I think discussing it can help you work it out, like playing detective to what's happening inside?
