my 5 year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with autism, i myself have a lot of understanding of autism as my youngest brother was diagnosed when he was younger and i grew up with him but i dont feel that other people really understand, i have never treated my daughter any differently to her sibling, but now people have started to and i feel at my wits end,

  • Hi and welcome. We're always here for you if you ever need to talk. It can be a horrible thing to live with and so difficult for people to understand from the outside. That said, like recombinantsocks was saying there are lots of people here who have been in your situation or that of your little girl, so you never have to worry about us not understanding. So even though life isn't easy, you don't have to feel alone on here. Smile
