Hi everyone 
I’m an adult woman with a set of challenges as I prefer to call them.
A very long and complicated story short: as a child I was labelled as having “learning difficulties”. After secondary school my parents told me I’d “grown out of it”, and everything was brushed aside.
Fast‑forward to 2021, I realised my challenges were actually getting worse. I later discovered that what I had wasn’t “learning difficulties” at all, but a Speech and Language Development Delay. I now strongly suspect I’m also autistic and have ADHD.
Since 2022 I’ve been trying to get an autism assessment and have failed to even get onto the waiting list four times - I’ll probably ask for advice about that in a more relevant forum.
More recently, I’ve also learned I may have dyslexia.
Right now I’m on a path of rebuilding and rediscovering myself , understanding my challenges properly and learning how to cope with them. Joining this community is part of that, because I’m hoping to find support, understanding, and maybe a bit of guidance.
Outside of all that, I enjoy being creative, baking, animated shows, and Pusheens.
