Hi Everyone my name is John I have just recently been diagnosed as having Autism. I joined the Forum cos I thought it would be great to meet people with Autism and get a better understanding of it.

  • Hello. My name is Neal. I have suffered with autism all my life since I was born in 1986. I had a social worker since 2006 and a support worker from Mecap since 2009. My social worker was on maternity leave in 2011 then left permanently and the same can be said for my support worker who then left in 2017. I have been given no referral advice of getting a new support worker now and have been without one since 2017 and made the referral last year. They arranged Ealing Adult social service for a telephone appointment for an assessment. They spoke with Mencap and my application got denied because of my information being a load of old tosh. I hate myself for who I am now.
