62 yo man AuDHD

Hello everyone my name is Mark. Not formally diagnosed but very much struggling to navigate the world and workplace. I'm a gym manager, personal trainer and nutritionist. Despite having to talk to many people everyday I struggle to form close friendships and often end my days exhausted and overwhelmed.

I'm hoping to find some good support here from people that have a real understanding of my experience.

  • Hi and welcome Hugging

I have to work closely with the general public and it does make me feel drained, I usually come home with a headache most days so I understand where you’re coming from.

I am trying to make my interactions less stressful by not feeling like I have to maintain eye contact which has helped tremendously.

It takes time to start to be more in tune with your body and discover what helps you exist in this neurotypical world.

I think even things like me not having my lunch in the canteen has helped me, I either sit in my car or outside and then go for a walk, it’s an hour where I don’t have to be switched on.

I hope things start to improve for you Blush
