hi i`m Becky  i`m 48  i`m self identifing as having autism and ADHD

i`m having trouble getting my doctors to believe  in having  either   have other women   had this problem  i`ve  tryed 5 driffent  doctors and getting   nowhere so i`ve given up at the moment 

so i`m starting to put my own routine in place and finding it is working for me  

i have know i`m been autistic all my life and my parents refused to do any thing   so it has made life really hard 

i`m  looking to make some new friends

  • Hey Becky, sorry to hear you have struggled with getting diagnosed. I went down the right to choose pathway.  I pushed for it, and I am glad I did as i have been diagnosed with both this year. I am 46 and like you I knew.. I have been trying to get my son assessed which is proviing difficult just because the list has been so long.. but knowing I have it helps me to understand his needs.  So I would say to you keep fighting!! you deserve to know.
