hi im new im 100 percent sure i have autism but i havent been diagnosed yet every time i visit the dr to get diagnosed i dont know how to talk to my gp i find it hard to talk to drs especially since before i was diagnosed with a cronic illness they never would take me seriously and did not belive me so im worried they do the same thing about this  so i dont mention it i hope i can be diagnosed soon i read about it and realised almost  every thing it said was true about me except for being smart because i had a brain injury but before i had brain injury i was smart and had a high iq

  • hello. I am sorry that your doctors don't listen to you. Do you have any close and supportive relatives who could go to the GP with you who might be able to communicate a bit more effectively and therefore get you listened to? If not, maybe you could try writing a letter to the GP which could enable you to bypass communication issues? Also, just wanted to say that I am sure you are smart. Everyone has talents and I am sure you have many.
