I’m an avid theatre and cinema goer living in central London. I’m male, and I had a late ASD diagnosis in 2019. I do the odd theatre review, and I’m interested in promoting and advocating for diversity in theatre audiences.
Are there any autistic/neurodivergent theatre or cinema-goers here, or neurotypical allies, who’d like to connect? I usually go on my own and it would be great to share recommendations, talk about productions, and maybe plan the occasional relaxed, well-organised outing.
With cinema, I often go midweek and sometimes during the day, when it’s quieter, and there’s less rustling of food bags around me. With theatre, it’s a bit more of a mixed bag, depending on the show and availability, but matinees are great.
Do chat here, but please don’t share any personal contact details publicly. Feel free to message me instead. Happy to chat on here first.
