Hi all

Hi all

I've had a late diagnosis. I'm 52 and thought I might have an ND condition for some years but didn't want to go through the NHS or pay a fortune for a private assessment. My company started a private medical benefit so I took that route and I officially have level one autism, which is no surprise to anyone. I've always struggled to make friends and maintain relationships which has led to loneliness and low points in life. After the diagnosis I let my team at work know and they've all been very supportive. I'm waiting on adapted CBT to help navigate this bewildering world.

About me: I live with my partner, her 15 and 17 year olds (19 year old is at uni). My daughter is coming up 23 and moved out. We have four cats (I've always had at least one cat). I work in the financial industry, my job being about 95% Excel based. I'm between obsessions. Last year I converted a doll house into a haunted house with moving bookshelves, a wailing wardrobe and a cauldron that spews green fog. The year before that I made Ghostbusters gear (unrelated to the haunted house). Have done martial arts over the years although currently lacking motivation.
