Hi

Hello,

I’m a late diagnosed female who’s ended up very isolated and alone over the last few years. This has been very detrimental for my mental health and I’m hoping to try and connect more. It’s not easy making friends as an adult. I watched my 9yr old niece making friends and it’s so much easier when you’re a child! You just go up to someone and ask if they want to be your friend. Not sure that’s socially accepted when you’re 40 though.
I am an animal obsessed ex zookeeper, now working in a vets. Come and say hi Relaxed

  • Oh that's a tough one, UK-wise it might be pine martins, hares, foxes, otters, frogs, toads, bats, oh though that's not including birds and invertebrates, like Treecreepers down to southern hawkers, it's tough to nail it down! More exotic might be Patagonian maras, Pallas cat, kakapos, cassowaries, maned wolf, agoutis, (the life cycle of the Brazil but tree with the female orchid bees is fascinating!) I'm kind of indecisive and love everything wild and free.

I'm not so much of a pet person, though we do love my daughter's cheeky hamster who has trained us, and I had rats as a teenager. But I'm mostly a wildlife watcher. There's a red squirrel who's now hanging around our garden and we put out hazel nuts for it, though I've just ordered some mixed squirrel food. And the birds are doing so well we attracted a sparrowhawk this summer which was a super highlight.

    Sorry I'll stop now!
