Hi,

My names Jo I have 2 children matthew 6 and amelia 2.

My little boy matthew has been in the process of being assesed for just under 12 months, he has been seen last year by a peadratrition and just recently 3 weeks ago by the educational psycologist who believe he is on the autism spectrum,

She had sent a letter to school to say this so they will now start to put things in place for him.

He  should if been refered to the pathway in january (I spoke to them they said he was in the waiting list) to be sent a letter ftom the psycologist this week to say he isnt on the list abd needs refering again, 

I will be phoning them in monday to see what is going on as worried this will mean another 12 month wait.

    School arnt very helpful and have only put things in place the last werk in term!, 

    he was first refered to the path way in october last year after seeing the peadratrition, i was told it was a 6 month wait so when i didnt hear in march i phoned the pathway to be told it wad a 12 month wait hes on the list and will be sern befor christmas this year,

    I though we were getting somewhere when he was assesed 3 werks ago by psycologist to be sent the letter yesterday to sah he hasnt bern refered at all,

    So very frustrating and anoying as feel were back to where we started if this is the case.

    I feel like im doing the same things and repeting everything alk the time with docs school etc

    Very frustrated xx 

  • Hi jo i know what you mean my sons 7 and has saw an educational pychologist twice, we see the peadatrician every 4 months and now we are seeing cahms,however not sure we are getting anywhere,head teacher at school has said hes on the spectrum,however due to lack of communication from school to pead the pead cant really do anything,so we are at sticking point! and it is getting so frustrating!
