Looking for a wee bit of advice. So my child has been on the NDAS waiting list for 2 and a half years. Been told it's around a 3 year wait now.
In the meantime her behaviour has gotten worse at home (she's great at school cause she's having to hold everything in) . She's lashing out, hitting , kicking , nipping / biting during her meltdowns and I feel like we don't know what to do. She is saying she's finding school increasingly difficult due to the noise and disruptive behaviour from her peers.
I feel she is being missed because she isn't disruptive herself but she's often coming home very upset due to this and often leads to meltdowns. I'm worried she's going to start refusing to go to school. I've spoken to the school a few times but because shes getting on well academically and she is quiet in class they don't see it as an issue. Any advice on getting some support for her? Or where to go while she's waiting for a potential diagnosis?
