My kid Jimmy is severely autistic and lacks language. He is turning 7 years old soon. He has a few AAC devices at therapy and school to use but has had a hard time expressing his needs, emotions and feelings. I created a web app at first to help him communicate and was a big success at home and at therapy.
However the initial app was very basic and lacked features to be able to customize and add or remove icons as in a PECS board.
So over the last 8 months I set on creating an android app to use for his communication. It turned out I was building something much more useful and decided to go full on to make it available for everyone. The app after a lot of work and time getting it tested and approved has finally made it through the Google Play store.
My point in posting here is to get input from people in what to add in icons and features for a future release. Please let me know your thoughts.
For those that use Apple, I plan to port it to iOS in the future but It will involve considerable investment in time and resources to do it. But if there is interest I will go ahead and do it.
