Seeing Myself Through My Son's Eyes

My name’s Loz and I’m in my 30s. All my life, I’ve felt different, and recently my GP suggested that I may be neurodivergent — specifically ASD and ADHD. In some ways, that suggestion came as a relief because the number of traits I relate to is honestly ridiculous! But it’s also brought a lot of reflection and frustration when I think back on how much I struggled through life(and continue to), especially during school.

I’m also a mum to a wonderful 11-year-old son who I absolutely adore. He was recently diagnosed with ASD(finally!), and ADHD is currently under review. His journey has played a massive part in helping me better understand myself, too.

I’m really looking forward to connecting with everyone. It will be nice to share with people who understand and learn from everyone’s experiences here. Blush
