To help keep this space safe, welcoming, and free from spam, all new accounts are briefly moderated before they can post.   • Hi there my life is just going wrong atm it’s little thing but I feel like running away with my credit cards and travelling the continent.

    i work for myself and my salon had the roof fell in in a room I don’t use atm but for the past week there’s been a leak at the front and only door, I try to put a bucket back behind it as I leave but it still misses a lot of the time, I thought about climbing out the window so as not to disturb the bucket but it’s a bit of a drop, I messaged the building people who are doing the roof they said they had been out and it was the guttering.

    the guttering was cleaned by the first people weeks ago and was sound, they have put up plastic and I’m sure one of their nails or screws is what the water is following, the drain was blocked for years without a leak, im trying to stay positive, luckily this week I was on holiday from my second (normal job) but I go back there tomorrow and my heads not in a good place, I know this venting won’t make much difference and it may seem such a small thing but it’s ruining the carpet, I feel I’m being brushed off and lied to and I feel so torn.

    im afraid if I get a ladder and try to fix it myself I will annoy, ruin or damage things more, just tired and teary the bucket can’t be left for more than 24 hours or I literally can’t get back into the salon 

    just spiralling I guess, they said they would look at it on Monday it feels such a long time

    Hi Raven, sorry this thread is pinned and doesn't often get replies. Sorry to hear your going through a lot, especially as it doesn't sound like it is all within your control. I hope things have improved with the bucket and the building owners, as they should be doing more.

    Feel free to start your own post though if you need to talk about it more, you might get more replies and advice!
