Just diagnosed!

Hi everyone. Thought I would introduce myself, I was just diagnosed with autism and it's something I've wondered about since I was struggling at primary school. And now I have those answers that explain why I'm so different to those around me and it's an amazing feeling. I feel happy, sad and a bit overwhelmed by it all but I'm told this will pass and I need to give

I'm not sure what else to say really other than hello. Blush

How did you find the assessment process?

From what others have posted here there have been a range of experiences from almost clamming up / going non-verbal to it being a release to talk about it and be open.

Personally I found it like completing a jugsaw puzzile - the pieces started to fall into place creating a picture I had only glimpsed pieces of before and I was able to see the whole thing for the first time.
