Newly diagnosed and new to the community

Hii, this is my first post. I have social anxiety and I'm trying to improve my social skills in this community and irl. Any tips for that would be greatly appreciated Slight smile

  • Hello and welcome to the community! I am a girl in my mid 20s and I have autism, EUPD, C PTSD and BDD. I also suffer with social and well general anxiety.

My tips here would be to feel free and do your own posts or comment on other posts if you feel you can relate or you feel like writing. The forum does seem to have gone a bit quiet lately I’ll admit and majority of people just ask like one question but then leave.

My interests are Nintendo, Simpsons and SpongeBob. What are your interests?

  • Thank you! I'm a girl also who's almost in her mid 20s.

I'll try to keep your advice in mind. I think I'll try to comment on at least one post a day to keep me going for now.

Nice interests :) I'm still trying to figure out what my special interests are, but I think it's somewhere along the lines of watching tv shows. I'm currently watching Gilmore Girls, but I also like watching k-dramas and occasionally anime.

  • Ahh I always love the anime art style but the only shows I’ve watched are Pokémon and Kirby right back at ya. As for posts I recommend the 3 good things (again) post, even when I struggle on days I tend to note even smallest of things that are good. There are quite a few miscellaneous chats as well, I actually did a Halloween one recently lol

  • Ahh ok thank you for explaining all that for me! It makes perfect sense thank you Relaxed️

  • I don’t know if you can watch Crunchyroll on the tv, as I use it on my iPad, but you could watch it on the website or as an app on the device you’re using, if that works for you.

You don’t have to have Amazon prime to watch it (which I don’t) but if you do then it gives you more anime than on Crunchyroll by itself. I hope that makes sense.

  • Ahh ok. I don’t even have a tv licence now so I only use streaming services but I will look into crunchyroll. I’m guessing I’d have to be a prime member first and then pay extra for crunchyroll. I didn’t realise you could get crunchyroll with regular tv unless I’m misunderstanding here

  • Soo you can use Crunchyroll by itself but you can also use it as an extension of Amazon prime and you get other shows but I think it’s more expensive. I don’t think Crunchyroll do ads at all now so you can’t watch it unless you have a subscription. I could be wrong tho because I have had a subscription for a while so I don’t know what it’s like without.
