Newly diagnosed and new to the community

Hii, this is my first post. I have social anxiety and I'm trying to improve my social skills in this community and irl. Any tips for that would be greatly appreciated Slight smile

  • Hello. I have really poor social skills and talking to people is hard for me too. I am noticing that I so things to make myself feel more comfortable like putting my hands in my pockets when I am standing there, before I would have taken my hands out, not I just leave them in because I feel better. I don't really have social anxiety though, I used to have that like a sick feeling before I went into a place. Now its more, I just don't want to do it, but I do it and feel okay. 

    I play wheelchair rugby, like old music, films, TV shows, politics, military stuff, psychic stuff like talking to tree's. Loads of other stuff too, but that's the main things.

  • Hi :) I understand that. I’m usually so aware of what I’m doing like how I’m standing or the expression on my face and I wish I could just do what was comfortable but it’s difficult and sometimes I don’t know how. I also struggle a lot with talking to other people and I only have like 2 people I’m comfortable unmasking with.

    I like tv shows as well and playing games
