Hello! I'm Getting Diagnosed

Hello!

I'm in the process of getting diagnosed as having Asperger's Syndrome.  I've already had the DISCO assessment interview, and am awaiting the actual report.  After the interview, the clinical psychologist told me that it will be a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome.

I thought I would join this discussion forum because I need to start claiming ESA, as a matter of financial necessity.  I anticipate difficulties.  So, in readiness, I'm joining now.

    Getting a diagnosis is a big step! I've just been diagnosed at age 56 and at this point I can see that it is exciting, scary, challenging and uncertain but I am 100% glad to have been diagnosed. Suddenly I can make more sense of the world. The main thing is to use your new knowledge to play the game of life to a new level.
