Well, im 18 now. - FH

Everyone I consider a friend on some level doesn't seem to be active here anymore so I don't know how active I'll be myself, but I said I'd return when I'm allowed to so here I am...

Uh some things that have changed since last time I was here:

In January I graduated highschool and moved across the country to my grandparents house.

In May I got my autism diagnosis.

This month my mom and I moved out of grandparents house to our new place. And I started working on a Frozen fan project online with the, in my opinion, most sophisticated Frozen fans (and they arguably know more than some of the people who actually work on the films...)

Today I became an adult.

And next month I'll start college/university, and will have a rheumatology appt to hopefully figure out my chronic pain.

...There was a lot more stuff that happened but I cant think of it at the moment.

That's all.

(And for anyone who has no idea who I am.. Name's FrozenHeart or FH, I live in the USA, I'm 18, they/them pronouns)

  • Good to see you’re still around Number. I still check here reasonably often but rarely post now. The compulsion has burned out!

  • Welcome back and HB also congratulations on your diagnosis.

i have been around here for roughly 2 years now and received my diagnosis 3-4 weeks ago at the ripe old age of 50!

You gave me some advice a long time ago of which I am very appreciative and thank you for listening

  • Thanks mate.  I can guess some of the English words......but can't deduce the meaning.  Can you translate for us too please?

  • I"m dead still if here these days...rare....but occasionally check back in....I like to keep somewhat abreast of "content" , the "liveliness metric"  and the "connectivity impression" here.  I'm a born observer and analyst mate.  Stay well.

    Till the next time

  • It's great to hear your good news here.  I'm really pleased for you mate.

    Till the next time.

  • A fellow American! Welcome back! And congrats on your diagnosis!

  • Welcome back, FH!! Happy birthday! Welcome to adulthood... and congratulations on the formal diagnosis!

I was very happy that we still communicated - not in words, but though the medium of chess, with our one-move-a-day games. It was the first thing that I did most mornings (advert for Autistic Chess club!). We only tied once. The rest of the time you thrashed me - once it seemed like with about ten queens Slight smile.

I also lost my way here. The rule changes and automated post policing would cause most of my friends not to be here when I was, and vice-versa. I have heard that this place has improved in that respect. Also, I have a lot less time at the moment. I have been getting bits and pieces of work, and volunteer with local autistic adults once a week.

It's great about the Frozen fan project. It's heart-warming that you are still such a huge fan.

I hope that you make more friends here again - you were always one of the good ones here.

  • (One of the “s” I did in a different version by accident so yeah)

  • Dearest FH,

By Jiminy, it's good to see you re-appear here!

I'd wish you a happy BD - but you know I hate that whole concept......so won't.....because autists are honest, different and forthright!?

I have more important messages to convey to you here!

Your fortitude and clarity of thought (and self-declared, and now fulfilled covenant to "d'managem't here) reinforces my faith.

Thank you, for that mate.  Its inspirational to an old coot like me, when a young buck like you, stays true to their word!

You remain wise, committed, courageous and sound - beyond your years - (as it would now appear based on your declaration!)  Who knew!!

Welcome to the (decidedly dubious) ranks of adulthood -  in this newly sterilised NAS infrastructure.

You are right that many of "us" are now gone - or merely "check in" silently, and occasionally, to see if there are any green shoots.

You are potential bamboo FH.....in my opinion!!

It is lovely that "A" popped up to say hi, as below......so I have been prompted to do the same!

I hope your presence here can make a difference!......please try.....because most of us "community minded" types have been brow-beaten to submission.....or scared away...or banned.....or just cba.......in the face of......well, NOT, what "we" types came here for in the first place!!

I hope that your world is not too onerous and frightening these days.  Godspeed to you!

Show us your "metal" FH - please - (for old times sake)......please say something in runes here!

    You have been missed.

Assuredly [but these days, VERY intermittently, until things change........and they WILL!]

    Number.

  • It's great to see you floating too!

  • Hello.

College/university is a big step and another milestone. I expect you have a mixture of emotions, apprehension and anticipation.

I hope it goes well and you enjoy it. There are many pressures but also many opportunities to meet people, grow, learn and experience new things.

  • Hi FrozenHeart, it’s great to see you back here. And happy birthday!  Tadapartying face

  • Hi FrozenHeart, all best wishes to you on your Birthday!

What a really eventful and impactful 2025 you have experienced to date.  That all sounded in equal measure exciting and exhausting.

I am hoping for you; that the coming month will give you the opportunity to: relax a little on your own, plus enjoy some time doing some shared memory-making things with your mom before college, work on your Frozen fan project online and prepare your packing for attending college.

Chronic pain is never to be wished upon anyone - so here is to hoping that next month's rheumatology appointment provides you with some fresh insight, treatment and management options.

    Welcome back to the community.

  • I think I was technically born around 1 am so would still be 17, except that was in a time zone 2 hrs different so I actually might've been 18 since an hour ago Thinking
