Hi there!

Hi!, Ill be honest im a bit cowardly lol, I have been reading the forums and I think I should at least post something lol , my son Oliver is 4 and was diagnosed with Autism about 2 years ago (give or take a while , time slips us by) , we have not yet started the statement process but that is on the way.

I am maried to Prudence, who is the strength of the couple lol , we also have a daughter of 16 months old.

We have recently moved from Plymouth to Leicester to support Oliver with more family support.

Thats where we are at right now :)

  • Hey , yea its been brilliant we had our first night out within our first week of moving and were away for about six hours! That alone makes it worth it just to decompress, my son loves his grandma / grandad and his aunty so there is no problem there, his face lights up whenever "someone comes to see him!" (not like they can come to to see us right? lol)

The problem for us has been overall services and a nursery to help prepare him for school, the nursery we had set up let us down big time when we arrived here and it was a scramble to find someone, in the end he didnt have a nursery for about six weeks, when we did get him into a nursery which we felt would be good for him, it turned out they hadnt really been pushing the referalls and stuff we had needed, left it about a week and for us to ASK them for us to find out some really important stuff in the plan we are trying to get together for him.

Overall the move has been good for all of us I think in one way or another, its just the stress of getting him ready and prepped for school and all the other stuff you know?
