Hello everyone.

53 year old gay male newly diagnosed with Autism (They also believe ADHD but I’d have to get another assessment for that). Anyway, I’ve avoided finding out for years because I felt if it wasn’t autism then I was just a bit broken and I did t know if I could handle that. I won’t bore you with the trials and tribulations of my life thus far but it’s been one helluva ride and I’m still here.

I'm not sure where this new diagnosis will take me but it has to be better than what was before. For the first time in a long time I feel hopeful.

I’m not really a social person, even online, but I promised myself I’d make an effort so here I am!

Hello one and all Sunglasses

  • Hi and welcome to the community. Most people on here aren't social either, but many find it helps to talk online to others who have similar experiences, and it can help to foster a sense of connection.

I'm a woman in my sixties and retired now, and we have a huge range of ages here and most of the time we all get along ok. It's usually much better than "Social" media. Hope you find the forum useful.
