Introduction

Hi all,

I got stuck thinking on a username and because the internet has rotted my humour centre, "rizz 'em with the 'tism" was as far as I could think, so I guess call me Rizz?

I am brand new to the forum but not the NAS site, diagnosed in 2020, and have become increasingly vexed at all the 'aha' moments since!

I'm not a big poster anywhere online, but have been told to try and connect with more neurodivergent folk because I am struggling and explaining myself over and over to people who have no idea is just making it worse haha.

I look forward to maybe interacting with folk here Slight smile

  • Hi Rizz.  Welcome.

Likewise, I am not big on posting anywhere (other than here).

I too find the groundhog day of "Autism: educate all" is tiring.

What sort of things interest you?

I like reading (non-fiction) and I am usually trying to learn something new.

I enjoy international TV series and films.

There are lots if hobbies / pastimes which interest me (in rotation, rather than all at the same time).

For example; I used to garden a lot.  Currently, I am recovering from a lifetime-worst burnout phase ... therefore, the garden will need to fend for itself for a while longer yet.

  • Hello and thank you!

I like to research any questions that pop into my head, so I think my favourite hobby is finding out how and why for anything! It baffles me when folk ask me something instead of looking it up but heck, lemme get into the archives and find out!

I love to create things, but I also cycle through one at a time otherwise many things go unfinished and forgotten. Sewing is a big thing for me and painting (models mainly lately), I love to read and like to see the films of books I’ve read to compare and contrast, favourite comparison is book v film of Howl’s Moving Castle.

I’m struggling with a bout of burnout right now too so I’m just taking things slowly right now.

very nice to meet you Slight smile
