I was diagnosed at 50 too - that was 5 years ago. I found it useful reading books that included the experiences of other aspies - I just went onto the Amazon site and keyed in "autism" or "Asperger's", plus keywords like "employment" or "anxiety".
You might find there's a social group for adults in your area - the one round here is rubbish for women or anyone over 25 or so, but some are quite good I hear.
The best thing I did re anxiety was to take a good look at my life and work out which things I did because I wanted to and which I did because I thought I should, just to fit in. I now allow myself the luxury of not fitting in - I do what I want. It's so much less stressful. I hope this helps a little.
