Hi all

Hi all, I’m new here, I thought I’d come on here as I feel like I’m stuck in life atm, I have so many ideas I just can’t execute them, I don’t understand how to bring them to life, I get fixated on a lot of stuff that I can’t complete, I don’t know what I’m good at, I don’t know what qualities I have, I just don’t understand it all, I’m not a confident person, I have an obsession with moving to Spain and living in the middle of nowhere just in the sun, but I don’t like being around people to be able to earn money to afford that, does anyone have any advice they could share on how I could deal with these things it would be much appreciated, thankyou for taking your time to read this

  • Hello there Ms23! Welcome to the community!

One thing that I can recommend is a fantastic book called “Self-Care for Autistic People” by Dr. Megan Anna Neff. It gives a good overall look at how to deal with many issues that us Autistics face on a daily basis. That might be helpful for dealing with some of the problems you’ve described.

I have so many ideas I just can’t execute them, I don’t understand how to bring them to life

What kind of ideas? Art? Stories? Music? Other plans?

  • Building businesses, creating faceless videos as I don’t have the confidence to show my face, doing accountancy courses, buying and selling, I have a hyperfixation on a house in Spain and I feel like it’s taking over my everyday life and feel like I need to do anything to get the money, it’s like it needs to be done like this second, I can’t grasp the concept of it’s going to take time, I wake up thinking about it I go to bed thinking about it, it doesn’t stop

  • Yes that is something I’ve been looking into, I have been to Spain 6 times and loved it everytime, the slow paced lifestyle, the quality of life, the work life balance, I’ve been learning a little bit of Spanish, I understand it’s a lot harder to get a job, I just think that type of life it what’s best for me and my children

  • Could you work as a self employed book keeper if you complete accountancy courses?

Have you travelled to Spain and spoken to people there about what it's like to live there? Do you speak fluent Spanish? It used to be my dream, but there are a lot of difficulties to overcome. You can't get a job easily, particularly if you don't speak the language well.
