Hi everyone

Hi Aspie29,
Welcome to the community forum. I'm glad you feel very positive about it all so far. I can appreciate it must also be a great asset to have such a supportive husband too.
Personally I think being diagnosed can be extremely positive, especially if you are open and receptive to strategies to help in everyday life and the new journey of self-discovery which can often follow and be very enlightening post diagnosis.
I have two children on the spectrum myself.

Yes hes extremely supportive hence going for a formal diagnosis. He has learnt to let me be. Hes very good at explaining things clearly and simply which has helped enormously. I am learning my triggers as before I just thought it was acceptable to behave in certain ways. We have been married nearly 5 years and he knows my triggers, ie I am hypersensitive and hes learnt to touch me aslong as its on my terms.
I was very shocked that the assessers had no doubts I am on the spectrum and stated that I have soo many traits.
They give very positive feedback and were very impressed with our relationship and that how many sacrifices/adjustments my husband has made.
I feel like its a very postive., but at the same time its hard to take in that I now know why I feel the way I do. I will take each day at a time.
Have you been formally diagnosed?
Hi aspie29. Is your husband supportive? What was the trigger for getting a diagnosis? I'm married with kids too, and Aspie-ish...
