UV Autistic?

Hi all. I'm in the early stages of learning about Autism and Aspergers, and I think where I am is on the spectrum but outside the clinical range. Learning about ASD traits is helping me to understand my late father (never diagnosed), myself (diagnosed negative), and my son (not yet diagnosed). I am nervous about 'joining in' to the community in these circumstances, but also quite enthusiastic about learning more. So I guess my first (hesitant) question is: am I in the right place?!

     Welcome. I'm pretty sure you are in the right place, especially if you want to learn more about ASD. Like your Dad mine also had depression, described as Manic, and although he showed many signs he was never diagnosed either.

    I have two children on the spectrum myself, who have been diagnosed.

    Personally, i've learnt a lot from this forum. Where as before I just reported what I witnessed in my childrens behavior, in the years following their diagnosis it's since been validated by what i've read and explained by reading many of the posts and info on the site.

    I hope the forum answers many of your questions.
