  • Hi and welcome to the community. I'm a woman in my sixties and I enjoy reading and playing video games. I see from your profile that you enjoy reading too, and have an interest in history that includes the two world wars. I recently read a couple of novels set in the war years by Soraya M Lane - The Berlin Sisters, and The Pianist's wife, which I enjoyed. The other two books which I think are great war time stories are The First Casualty (set in WW1) and Two Brothers (set in WW2) by Ben Elton.

I hope you find this forum useful and interesting.

  • Hello. Thank you!

I used to play a lot of video games but over time I stopped, I don't know why really I think I just got in to reading and never looked back. I haven't heard of most of those books but I will be getting them in the future now I'm aware of them! One of my favourites is Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose, I got it when I was 12 and I have read it more times than I can remember since.

I have read Two Brothers, I like all of Ben Eltons stuff, book and film wise. Very talented and funny man!
