Hello HLloyd, always good to be able to welcome a new person to the community.
We are are drawn from a wide age range (18+). A mix of those diagnosed as children, those adults / older adults (with representatives from just about every possible adult decade) who have experienced later adult diagnosis, plus many people who have self-identified as Autistic in later life too.
I hope you will find that the combined mix of lived experiences means: we can collectively be quite a resourceful group (as we navigate life's achievements, challenges and passions).

Therapy is often recommended after a diagnosis as a follow up action for your GP to arrange. In anticipation of that, you might find it helpful to borrow or buy this book, which includes discussion of various types of therapy and counselling, together with advice on choosing the right therapist or counsellor - all from an autistic person's viewpoint.
