Hi this is my introduction

Hi, I'm 21, almost 22, and I've just made an account on here because I've recently asked for ASD referral, but because it's Christmas/new year, nothing can be done about it yet :( I'm not sure what to say about myself other than I like animals, harry potter, creative writing and music. I'm doing a online university course currently but it's very hard (in my opinion). I just want to be able to connect with others that understand things from my perspective. my pronouns are she/her too. Something I did yesterday was watch Star Wars for the first time. I watched A New Hope, but it was quite boring for me so I think might try and watch Rogue One next because it's more modern and I might like it better than the old films. I've always struggling with fitting in and making friends. I actually haven't really had any friends since I was in primary school- so a decade ago. Life's hard right now, but I hope it'll get better for me. I do find it hard to maintained a back and forth conversation so if I don't reply straight away thats why. - thanks for reading.

  • I've just checked and seen that we'd only need to write a speech and record it once (which is a good thing). At least I know now that once it's over it'll be over for good. I do kind of find reading poetry quite nice and calming but writing it will be quite the challenge for me. I've enjoyed reading the textbook and I find that the different activities in it have already helped me think about writing poetry easier. I'm sure, when it actually comes to writing poetry, it'll be easier said than done though.

  • I’m really enjoying the creative writing so far, I’ve been working on TMA02 today which is going ok. I completely understand about the poetry, I’ve never been able to grasp it and I don’t enjoy reading it anyway. I had no idea writing and recording speeches was something we would have to do for English literature!! That’s so scary, I’ll hate doing that next yearGrimacing

  • I'm the same. The story writing is far more enjoyable than anything else I've had to do so far. I'm dreading the poetry writing though. For A240 I'm writing a 5 minute speech and that's really causing me problems. I've never needed to write a speech before and I just can't get into it. Then I've got to read the speech outloud and record it and that's stressing me out too. Other than that it's been quite good. How are you enjoying yours?
