Hi from Wales

Hi,

I'm a 50 year old woman who was diagnosed last year. I'm currently going through a separation, so grateful for any advice on how to cope with things like mediation and the stress of numerous legal questions. I would love to speak to others who have gone through this as well.

I live near the sea and enjoy a quieter life by working from home. In my spare time I like watching films, walking, reading and writing fiction.

Hoping to meet new autistic friends here.

  • Ha! Ha! Wallets in the fridge, is that to make your money last longer? Laughing

    Safe to travels to Brum.

  • Wow - that is quite a week! I have periods of distraction where I put things down in odd places and it can be hilarious (wallets in the fridge) unless you really need the lost thing quickly. At least you remembered to get something to eat in amongst all the craziness. This also sounds like a case of the struggles with modern life, which sometimes is a bit of a wrangle to stay in control of.

My week is ending with having to drive to Birmingham on Saturday which I'm not looking forward to as there is an amber weather warning! Grimacing

  • Thanks, I think I have a preference for being near the sea.

Thanks, but I'm having a bit of a crazy week.

Bought a battery for my van last month and finally went to fit it yesterday in time for an MOT tomorrow morning only to find it was the wrong one as the power connectors couldn't reach the battery posts! Disappointed Luckily I had enough energy to enquire with Halfords if I could swap it at my local branch for the next model down which they agreed to.

Had a power cut after cooking my dinner in my air fryer last night, which tripped the fuse box! I reset the main fuse box but the electrics did not return, too tired at the time so utilised my battery power pack to power my camping lights, monitor and firestick for the evening. Luckily checked fuse box this morning and did a successful reset.

Went to Halfords this morning to swap battery and ended up joining the wrong one way lane for McDonalds! As I was stuck there queuing for 20 minutes I decided to get myself a burger and fries.

After returning home from Halfords I entered my house and placed my main phone in the cutlery draw and proceeded to install the new battery, inflate tyres to correct pressure.

When I entered my house I panicked because I only had my "car" phone on me and forgot I had stealthily placed my main phone in the cutlery draw! Took me 15 minutes checking everywhere in car, in van only to realise my stupidity.

My replacement broadband router which arrived on Monday has a fault that stops me being able to use wifi on any devices, after a fruitless 20 minute tech call, they are sending me a second replacement router next week! Rolling eyes

My week can only get better form here on out, wishing you a good week/end also.

  • North Wales is very beautiful. At least you are still near the coast in Southampton! We live in a very touristy area, so Scotland was a relief as it was much quieter when we visited in August. We visited Edinburgh for the first time since I was a child and absolutely loved it. Hope you are having a good week.
