Hi, ive been diagnosed late with autism, however I still lack information about it. After the assessment, it seems as if there's no support, or helpline to call. If anyone can offer any advice, I'd be grateful - thanks.

Hi Crystal,
I'm in the same position as you. I have been told by the team that gave me the diagnosis that I will get a follow up after 6 weeks (I think). I have been looking at local charities to see if I can go on a course called Me, Myself and Autism which is a six week course helping you to understand your diagnosis. It maybe worth seeing if an organisation local to you offer this course or something similar.
Other than that I'm still searching if I find anything I'll let you know.
Welcome to the ASD club!
The sad fact is their is very little support out there for us latelings. If you can afford it then there is the option of therapy. You might get some post diagnostic support in your area but other than that you can read books, internet and of course this forum where you will find lots of good advice from people who have lived experiences.
Hi Crystal.
Welcome and congratulations!
I think that abandonment afterwards is common to most of us.
This community itself has been very helpful to me. Get involved an join in. It can be fun and emotional.
