Is it ok to not be officially diagnosed yet

  1. Hello im jake. I am waiting for my diagnosis to hapoen but by the sounds of it ill be waiting a few years. Was wondering if its ok for me to use this site and its not seen as offensive and all that. Ive read books on autism and it i relate to alot of it. Anyways cheers to anyone who does read this, the idea of being in a community that helps with this confussing thing we call autism soungs great

    It's perfectly fine for you to be here without an official diagnosis :) Some folks here are self diagnosed and don't feel the need for that official piece of paper, others are like you - waiting for their assessments and others have their bits of paper in hand. Others are parents or family members of autistics, speaking information. You are very welcome here.
