I am 62 and got diagnosed with autism in August. I have been completely abandoned by the NHS. I was wrongly diagnosed with all sorts of things, Including, Bipolar, and given a whole range of medications, including Lithium and Risperidone. I have just withdrawn from Risperidone after being on it for 10 years.
I am, currently pleased to have finally been diagnosed, but also lost and very depressed.
The, ongoing, difficulties I have with other people have meant that I am always being rejected or put aside by people. Or sometimes I get into trouble.
I am very lost and feel completely abandoned and isolated.
Something needs to change because I have become very disheartened.
