Kind of, I grew up in the USA.

The reason I ask, is because I am old......and I have seen terms like "rad" being widely understood 35yrs ago (by native English folk).....but now most young (native English) folk would have no idea what it means!

I think it is nice where people can just meet and greet without excessive words and "gushing." Simple.
