Occupational Therapy

Hello Everyone, I am a student occupational therapist in Nashville, Tn. I am currently taking a challenges of mental health course. One of my assignments is about Asperger's Syndrome and requires me to have an OT practitioner that has experience with Asperger's to look over my assignment and give me feedback. Can anyone help me with this? It can all be done via email. Thanks for any feedback or suggestions that anyone can give me.                                        -Emily

  • The course you are on should advise you about finding a tutor to do this. You need to consider whether the advice you got externally was appropriate to the course you were on, and particularly was relevant to OT practice in the USA.

Although courses are validated against courses in other institutions, there are a lot of variations. A well known problem for tutors changing jobs is the difference between universities on how to determine whether a grade is above or below a threshold. It is astonishing how something so simple can cause such heated argument between academics.

Therefore finding a tutor at another college or university, or someone recently graduated from another college, might give you wrong advice.

Usually there are groups of recent graduates or finalists in your own institution who are asked to help voluntarily or for a small fee.
