not telling the truth

im new on here our 8 year old daughter diagnosed in january we knew but glad to have it offical My problem is understanding why she behaves the way she does lying about things or not taking ownership of what she does her behaviour seems older than she is ie older films, language all things she thinks she can do ,mixing in with people who are trouble for her is this all normal and what do i do ???Undecided

  • What steps to supervise what films and TV programmes she watches and who she mixes with, are you taking?

Having an ASC, she will be very vulnerable to "mate crime", she will be likely to be naive, gullible, over-trusting and have a low awareness of danger.

She will not have the facility to judge whether she can trust people (even an average 8 year old wouldn't but an autistic 8 year old will be at least 3 years younger socially and emotionally).
