Favourite U.K. holiday places

The Isle of Anglesey in North Wales is absolutely beautiful, as is the Welsh Valleys/Brecon Beacons 

It was a long time since I last went but some of the places I’ve been to have been Lou I think, lands end and the place they filmed doc Martin I have been to other places but I can’t remember where. 

The highlands of Scotland and the west coast islands.

Majestic scenery - great walks if you are fit and awesome for photos. Loads of historic architecture in the towns, friendly people and the ever changing Scottish weather.

Ideally done with a mix of car and on foot (especially by ferry to the islands) there is a huge range of things to see and do and a sense of such a different world starting just ourside of Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Do it by June at the very latest to avoid the midge season though - this can really spoil the trip (read up on it).

Aldeburgh (on the Suffolk coast) is lovely, not too crowded most of the time. The beaches are mostly shingle rather than sand. There are some great restaurants and places for ice creams and sorbets! There is also a lovely bookshop!

I love Cornwall and in particular St Ives but it can get busy. The beaches are big though which can give you some space. I also love Wells next to sea.

St David’s in Wales is incredibly beautiful, the beaches are really clear- and very few people!

Any particular favourite places in Cornwall? 

I love going to Cornwall it’s a beautiful place in the summer and has some lovely beaches and the ice cream is nice as well.
