hello I'm new

I'm mum to 3, 18 and 16 yr old boys and 10 yr old girl.  My 16 yr old was diagnosed dyspraxic at 14 and Aspergers at 15, he's recently been diagnosed with raynauds syndrome and he has fits when under stress.  He's currently doing photography,  geography and history A levels and resitting  English gcse at 6th form. My daughter is diagnosed with SPD and hypermobilty,  she's waiting for the ados test but cahms have said they expect her to be on the spectrum, probably aspergers.

Main issues we're having are lack of support for my son in 6th form and we've been waiting a long time for dla to be decided, currently waiting for a tribunal date. I have been made appointee.  My daughter has problems at school concentrating and hand writing.  She is also still sleeping in our bed because she suffers from anxiety and night terrors.

nice to meet you :-) im also new on the site.

I have 5 children - boys 21, 5 and 8 months and 2 girls 15 and 3. my 5 year old boy has AS and SPD and I suspect raynauds - we are homeschooling him at the moment. Hes doing really well. My 3 yr old daughter is also showing signs of SPD but in all the opposite ways to her brother - its fascinating to see them as sensory beings and not "good or bad, lazy or over excited" and feeding their particular need is very satistfying to then see them content - so i can only imagine the difficulty with your ten yr old daughter - I would guess though, that a weighted blanket may help? just a thought - also what about rock rose? its a bach flower remedy that may be worth looking into or even straight rescue remedy for night terrors? It could also be the stress from school - did she have night terrors during the holidays at christmas?

I really hope your eldest gets what he needs to get through 6th form - and his re-sit, that must be worrying him :-/

    ahh kids... ;-)
