Hi

I’m new here, after decades of being misdiagnosed with various mental illnesses, I was finally diagnosed with A.S.D. when I was 63, in 2017. As you can imagine it was a relief to finally have the correct diagnosis. Since then I have made it my mission to raise awareness of the impact of misdiagnosis and late diagnosis via my writing and performance. I also share my experiences with university students and staff. Next year I’m starting a Master’s degree in Autism and Asperger Syndrome at Sheffield University. I have many interests, but the main one is writing and performing my own work as part of a theatre group for Autistic People.
