Hi, I've joined today with a confused, but clearer view on my 5 year old son. I've been told that we have an appointment on the 2nd of December to asses him. I've spent 2 years having no clue what goes on in his little head, but hopefully we will get some answers and help. After a year of an outreach worker coming to review his behaviour and actions we got a health visitor to come and see us. After her visit she told me she would refer him for assesment. 5 months later here we are, ready to go and get him assesed.
My mum has worked with children and adults with autism for 20 odd years, but she is being less than supportive with us. I've seen her at work and she is amazing, but she will not help in any way with her gradson 
I know nothing about autism or aspergus and need some support.
Hope someone out there could be of some help. x
