daughter not yet been diagnosed

Hi everyone my youngest daughter who will be three next month has just been today for her final assesment for diagnosis of autism.

I left the meeting feeling unsure of what is happening.

She has had previous asseements before this and today was to be the final one.

On feedback to me from the professionals i was given the following:-

After all the appointments they have concerns regarding her speech although it isnt limited she speaks in odd accent and uses words not usually heard by someone her age

she has no eye contact

she demands things rather than asks

she has times where she constantly rubs herself with dummies

she doesnt seem to hear them although has no problems with her hearing

and there last words were she ticks all their boxes in diagnosing on autism spectrum.

After telling me allof this they said they didnt want to give a diagnosis yet and would like to see her again in a year but would be sending off reports to health visitor, a social worker who they think could help and our gp.

is this normal? should I have asked further qustions and does anyone know what I should do next? any feedback would be greatly appreicated x
