Autistic struggle at church

Large groups can be overwhelming. What helps me is sitting near the back. Less people seem to sit at the back and I find it comforting being near the door. 

I take a comfort item as well, a little Ty bear that I've had since I was little. She's only small but brings me a great deal of comfort and support. If you've got anything like that it might help if you take it with you. 

Eventually it’ll give you the sleeps..

I get anxious, in Church.

Our new Priest, in since last October, is so slow; and methodical. He gives me the creeps.

To this day I can tell you that I have never actually sung a hymn at a church, I only ever mouthed the words, and I was in the choir for a year..

Good afternoon 

I struggle with large groups and get overwhelmed.

Takes me a couple of days to process what happened. 

Usually sit next to people at my community group who I know. 

Can you sit at the back of the church? To escape quietly.
