I am the sister of two severely disabled autistic men (aged 37 and 28, I am 34). i am desperately looking for any information / anyone else in my situation who has started a family of their own. This is something myself and my partner have been discussing for the last year or so, but there has been little guidance available.
I understand that there has been no common cause for autism discovered to date, and genetic testing (microarray CGH) that my brothers have received has shown no abnormalities which I could be tested for. So we feel very in the dark. I hope you will be able to point us in the direction of any relevant support / guidance if there is any, or tell me your own story if this is something you have also experienced.
