Wanting to meet autistic people to build a friendship with

Hi. My son is in the same boat.He is 29 and was diagnosed in January. To chat to like minded people would  a great way to make some new friends for everyone x

Hi. I think the diagnosis has really helped him in the sense that he now knows why he does and says the things he does. He hasn’t challenged himself at the moment and remains quite happy and calm as home is his comfort zone and he doesn’t really leave the house. But one step at a time  making new friends would be fantastic and I hope that happens soon. Hope you’re ok x

That's good to hear, it can be a long process learning about yourself either during the researching period or after diagnosis which can be quite an overwhelming and confusing time. I think it's amazing that you're on here engaging with autistic people to help your son. Has he spoke about making friends? If so does he have an idea on how he would go about that? And thank you! x
