I'm Chris, 30 yrs old, and was diagnosed last August with ASD.
I still have doubts, I think wrongly so but I cannot help the doubts.
I must trust my partner who put me forward for the diagnosis.
There are signs, such as that I have limited social energy to be spent on people other than my boyfriend, I react avoidantly to loud noises, I speak monotonously, don't use eye contact, though my interests don't run as deep as others on the spectrum.
I hardly ever put myself out there like this, so any comments from and communication with strangers would be very novel to me, and I like novel. Same old bores me, depending on what it is.
Hello Chris and welcome to the forum! I hope you feel at home here. Doubts are totally normal, I have had lots of them. I think coming to terms with understanding our autism is a long journey
Thanks for the welcome.
Yep, a long and winding road!
