Hi my names Gemma I am new to this so don't no if am doing this right my 8yr old was diagnosed with autism last month I just got he's report through yesterday I was advised to check this site out as I no nothing about how to deal with a autism diagnosis it's all new to me I dident even think he had it as at first he was just diagnosed with moderate to severe learning disability so it's all abit much for me at the moment on top of that my 5yr old is going to be assessed for it to as he's school have serious concerns so that will be two boys

Hey Gemma, I can offer advice as I'm new to this aswell, my son got a diagnosis of asd 4weeks now and I'm clueless. My son was referred to cass and they have programmes you can do to understand the diagnosis I'm on week 3 now and it's been very informative. I was also recommended some books too look at. There may be some support groups in your local area you could look up online. Hope this helps a little. X
